Hey guys, new member to the forum here. New grower on my first grow. Watcher of CLTV lol. I am growing 2 Skywalker OGs (Robs favorite 😂) a Black Widow and a Bruce Banner. My situation is I’m stuck in a 3×3 until I can get my second set up off the ground. I understand the plants can double or even triple when you put them into flower and height is my concern. Do any of you stuck in smaller grow areas have a system for when to flip them to flower? Like x number of nodes, or at a certain height or what? Both of my Skywalkers are showing pistils although all 4 are only a little over a foot tall at the moment. Thanks in advance.

You must have gotten the Pop culture Pack, me too; ILGM… lol. I’m a new grower as well. All mine showed sex really early too. I’ve got 4 in a 4×4 with room to spare. Doing the SCROG technique. I’d say 3×3 will still be sufficient room. Mainlined the BW and it blew up, it’s way bigger than the other two strains. BW responded the best to the toppings. I’ll be flipping mine next week, @ 8weeks in veg. My plants are a bit over 18 inches in height, with the BW being closer to 24 inches tall.

That is awesome! Sadly my Bruce Banner had many set backs and is my runt. It’s taller than the others but much less growth and nodes. I also accidentally fimmed my black widow lol so she is slightly smaller than my Skywalker’s. I’m thinking if I can get my canopy even I’m going to go ahead and flip them. I want to get through the entire grow and apply what I’ve learned to the next batch. I started these on 4/1.

That is so awesome how we have the same run going. I originally started with 6 plants, 2 of each. I lost a BW and a Bruce Banner from a seedling into veg. Somehow those two seeds were diseased as soon as they popped. When I mainline the BW I thought I killed it, but let it do its thing. It took about 4 weeks to snap out of it then it took off; became my biggest plant. Watch your BW she could be a sleeping giant. Also to help even out your canopy have you looked into the SCROG technique? It has worked well with this run, for me.

My poor Banner didn’t shed it’s shell and I was slow to notice and then the membrane also got stuck lol. Then I knocked her over when I transplanted. Basically she had a rough childhood but they are alive at least lol. I will have to do some homework on scrog as I’m not quite sure how to do it. I do have a net already tho. I have learned a lot so far and I should be able to do much better next time. I’m looking into getting a second tent and doing a type of perpetual grow as well. Maybe a mother and some clones.

What do you mean by flip them?

I just mean flip them from veg to flower. Flip the switch. They are over a foot now and if they get much taller and then double/triple in flower they may be above my light or touching it. Also a little worried about the heat if they get too close.
