hi all. my first post, so please forgive me if the question has been asked and answered already. i am about to start week five of flower. the girls are doing great and are thriving so i really don’t want to do anything that will upset that. i need to shut off the house power for ~one hour to connect my brand new grow room sub-panel to the main house panel breaker. my question is; what will this do to the girls? will it stress them out or will they hardly notice anything different? thank you so much for input in advance.

ok so it looks like i might have missed out before it was done but i was going to say if u can make the change during lights out so thare is no delay in lighting but if u cant it should not hurt the girls to take an hour or so nap during the day i would not change the cycle any just power down make changes power back up same light cycle and everything i cant say it will piss them off as thats not alot of stress as it happens in nature but i also cant say its good for it

thank you so much for the reply, @happies70. nope, you did not miss out. this is my very first indoor grow and after learning everything i wanted to change about my outdoor environment for years i have spent the last three months dialing in every aspect of this transition. i cannot be happier with the way the run is going so far. the genetics (strawberry cough, og kush, dos si dos, planet of the grapes, peanut butter breath and kosher kush), the environment, the nutrients, the vpd. everything is on point. that’s why i am going to make damned sure i will not do anything bad to them before proceeding.

as for doing it during lights out. i thought of that. i am not an electrician. i just happen to be good with electrical and i have done this kind of work before. still i hate to be working at the main panel with nothing more than iphone light.

i think what i’ll do is just let this run finish (i so wanted to start a perpetual grow) and do the work after. this way when i do start a perpetual grow next time i will be under a stable power source with all the electricity i can ever need for my garden.
