Just a heads up…I’m using two 315 watt Ceramic Metal Halide lights now and getting much better results.

Hey man new to the club and was curious if CMH lights should use a ballast and would one 315w be enough for a 2×2 tent for flower. I am getting ready to setup a perpetual grow system and am kinda stumped on choice of lighting. budget is not a huge factor I don’t mind paying for quality however the cheaper the better.

Yeah, CMH lights will need the ballast as well unless it comes built into the hood. a 2×2 will need some good ventilation, even with the low wattage. It can increase the room temps up to 9 degrees, depending on the light fixture.
I have 2 xxl air-cooled hoods with CMH converters using Philips bulbs. I run an inline fan through the hoods to help cool the lights more.
